Hatay Blocks

Twelve wells were drilled by TPAO in the 1960s, Amity Oil in 2003 discovered gas but it was not developed. Oman farmed into the blocks in 2011. Recent drilling and oil/gas discoveries include:

• Hamam-1: 855m TD, flowed up to 6.8 MMscfd, producing sweet dry 94-97% methane and selling CNG to local market
• Yesiltepe-1: 1,897m TD, gas flow at 1.7MMscfd and 3.2MMscfd
• Yesiltepe-2: gas shows not properly tested
• Kastal-1: and Ayseler-1: spudded in 2010 to meet licence obligation

A plant for gas bottling of CNG has been constructed on-site of Hamam-1 selling,  to local markets at circa $20+/mcf, 5km from pipeline.
