ARAR

ARAR Petrol ve Gaz AUPAS is a Turkish company which was founded-and 95% owned-by Fatih Alpay, a qualified petroleum engineer with 26 years drilling experience in Turkey. Niche owns the remaining 5%. It is one of the largest licence holders in Turkey after TPAO, the national oil company.

ARAR is an integrated upstream oil company with staff and equipment in-house including:

• Owner of land rigs, seismic crews, cementing and mud-logging units, related support equipment, G&G processing/interpretation; and
• Team of qualified drilling superintendents, engineers, materials and logistics superintendents, geophysicists and geologists.

The company has extensive regional expertise drilling for international oil companies including:

• Drilled >50 wells in Turkey in last 10 years for own blocks and as operator for international companies such as Perenco, Amity Oil, BM, Pemi, and Transatlantic;
• Drilling experience internationally in Iraq, Afghanistan (for USAID), and Texas;
• 2010: drilled two work-over wells on Gulf Keystones Shaikan block in Kurdistan; and
• 2002-2005 operator for Amity Oil (Australian listed E&P company) in Turkey.
